Charging interest on friends?
Hi all, wondering if this is rude to do. My friends have asked me to pay for them using my credit card and it had racked up to around $1200-$2000, and if they don’t pay that fully for a month, I’d add the interest if they don’t pay it fully back, especially since that’s adding interest on my card. I ofc learned my lesson to not let that happen and to pay it fully nonetheless since it goes on my record. I since have paid off every statement and have really great credit score, although this behaviour tainted me among my friends and how I am weird about money. Im beginning to think it was wrong to do that but then in my perspective , if I owe someone, I wouldn’t let it wait for even more than a day to pay them back. Any perspective on this? Edit: just to remind that they don’t owe me currently. The story was they used my credit card few years ago (travelled together, realized they didn’t have anymore money to use and we were in the middle of travelling in some country) and it took them a year to pay back.
