Meeting with PI after cold email

Hi, I am currently applying to bioscience PhD programs. After cold emailing a few PIs with my CV, one of them has asked to meet with me via zoom later this week. I am super excited because this person's work is very interesting to me, but also surprised because it was him who proposed the meeting (in my original email I only asked if they will be taking grad students, nothing about discussing further). Sooo I am not sure what to expect. Should I prepare to only discuss about his research/our shared interests? Is it overstepping to discuss my application and seek advice? Hoping to hear from others who have met with PIs they cold emailed! submitted by /u/BeginningParsley3404 to r/gradadmissions [link] [comments]
