What happens to our credit card debt?

My mother recently died and I was an authorized user on her chase freedom account with my own card. I called them and they closed the account and the cards. It had a balance of around 400ish dollars. Some people have told me it will just go to her estate since it was her account and it will not affect my credit. Do I owe the balance or can I just do nothing? submitted by /u/jbot1997 to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
