Detained by ICE for 93 days
I’ve been a bit skeptical/scared to share my story thus far but after my experience and some thought I’d like to shed light on it British born Lived in US since I was 9 (20 years in US) From age 16-22 I was a DACA holder Placed into removal proceedings at age 14 I-130 request was put in 2024 - On June 3rd 2026 I had my I-130 interview with my wife and children at 8am, we showed up ready and on time. Our names are called to go to the interview room and the interview begins very little words are said during the 20 minutes we were in there as the agent kept reading on his computer, he stands up and walks away for 10 minutes, upon his return he says “dad we’d like to interview you by yourself so wife and kids come to this room (points to another room) dad follow me” we walk to the back of the building and around a corner there are 4 ICE agents waiting for me with handcuffs and place me under arrest for Final Order of Deportation (I was completely unaware of this). No goodbye to my wife or kids just immediately placed in cuffs and into a vehicle, within 15 minutes I was in a local processing center placed into a holding cell along with 35 others that had been detained that day.
