H-1B Transfer: Can I Work for My Current Employer After Approval?

Hi everyone, I’m currently on H-1B and in the process of changing employers. My new employer has filed an H-1B transfer for me, and I’ve received the receipt notice. New employer told me that I can start working for them now. My timeline (if that helps): Filed: 09/04 Documents delivered: 09/08 Receipt date: 09/10 Service Center: Texas Premium processing Status: Under Processing I have a 2+ week notice with my current employer, so I’m a little worried about the timing. Would you suggest waiting for the H-1B transfer approval before resigning, or should I resign now since I have the receipt notice? If my H-1B transfer/COE gets approved, can I continue working for my current employer for another 2 weeks to serve my notice before joining the new employer? Would that cause any H-1B/status issues now or in the future? Sorry if these are repeat questions, and thanks in advance for any advice! submitted by /u/Ok-Acadia4457 to r/h1b [link] [comments]
