Put into Administrative Processing (221g) (so far its been 217 days) for B2 visa in Japan!!! i am a PhD student visiting my partner's family. How long does it usually take?

Hello everyone, I need some advice. I applied for a US non-immigrant visa (B1/B2) and went through the interview, but the consular officer told me they are putting my case into administrative processing because they need an additional investigation. I applied because my boyfriend and I decided to visit his parents in the US. He is in the US Navy stationed here in Japan, and I am a PhD student also living and studying in Japan (originally from Kazakhstan). During the interview, the consular officer asked a lot of questions about my background and what I am studying. I also work part-time as a researcher at my university, which means I have to renew my residence status every year. Maybe the officer thought I am about to finish my studies and relocate to the US, but the truth is I still have a few more years left in my program. All my social media accounts are public, with photos of me and my boyfriend everywhere. I'm not hiding anything and was completely truthful on my application forms and during the interview.
