How do i invest to reach my goal?

Hello all! I'm 21 and want to start investing, as one does. I went through several different websites that explains investing, but I'm still a little confused. Something everything said was to make a goal for my investments: I want to invest in a way that brings me monthly income, enough to pay off all my bills is the current goal (roughly 4-5k/month) I know it'll take years to get there, but that's why you start when you can. I don't have high income rn, so the investments will be small. However, can someone explain how i would go about achieving this, or if it's possible? I don't understand any of the specific language yet, so please dumb it down a little. Thanks for your times and help! submitted by /u/Bretzelion to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
