Is green card safe for an international flight?

Hi everyone, I know maybe there are many people who ask if it is safe for green card holders? I want to ask the same question. Because my mother-in-law is sick and wanna see her granddaughter. So my wife and my daughter (1 year old) want to visit her, but the problem, I heard many stories and news about green card holder been detained in media social. So I wonder if a conditional green card holder is safe for traveling. The other problem, our destination is Indonesia, where my wife has an asylum history (which she has already withdrawn the case, and she got her green card based on marriage).
