Is it safe to travel before my greencard arrives?

My i485 got approved last week I haven't received it yet. I want to attend a MLS match in Chicago on 09/09/2026 but I'll have to take a train there. My wife isn't so thrilled and is saying I shouldn't buy the tickets because I'm yet to receive my physicalgreencard but I'm pretty sure the prices will go up because Messi will be playing. Will the approval notice be good enough in case I run into ice? submitted by /u/Clear-Boss-9860 to r/USCIS [link] [comments]
