SPAXX to FDLXX, how exactly does it work?

Hi! I’m just a girl trying to be better with her money… but I’m basically just researching everything online lol I just put $10k into a SPAXX account vs. doing a HYSA at another bank because my 401k and Roth IRA plus work stock are all already in Fidelity. However, I live in a very high tax state and I’m reading that I shouldn’t leave my savings in a SPAXX account for tax purposes. How exactly does it work to manually put money into a FDLXX? And is it easy to keep putting money into it monthly? Lastly, is it just as easy as the SPAXX account to withdraw the money if I need to at any point? I guess I am confused by the part where I have to manually move the money into the FDLXX. Let’s say I’m putting $500 a month here in Fidelity. Do I have to first move that $500 into the SPAXX from my checking account, and then move it again into the FDLXX account each month? submitted by /u/Expensive-Pen-5651 to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
