Importance of paper while applying

last year, I applied in multiple neuroscience programs but got rejections from all over the place. At that time, I had no paper and was having 3.5 years of experiences. Again, I am applying this year. I got on paper as 3rd Author in Neuron. Does it make any improvement in my application this year? I am international student and did my undergrad and master‘s from outside of US! It will be really helpful if someone provide insight on it, and could help me to review my statements. submitted by /u/Infamous_Yard_6751 to r/gradadmissions [link] [comments]
