ICE arrests at airports and interviews

Hello, I will by flying from Europe to the US to have an interview, which has been scheduled for my green card application. Yesterday I saw this article from The Seattle Times , explaining that ICE is arresting people directly at the airport, who have an expired visa but are allowed to stay in the U.S because they have a pending application, in order to meet the new arrest quota. Lawyers are issuing warnings for non-citizen to stop flying domestically I called an immigration lawyer, and explained him my case, which is very standard, and he told me that under his interpretation of the law, I've been staying legally the whole time. However, he said that the current administration seems to sometime interpret the law differently. He mentioned he has seen a lot of arrests recently during the interviews, and warned me very directly to not show up at the interview without an attorney. I am freaking out. I cannot assess the risk level of getting arrested. What is clear is it's not 0, since some arrests are made to meet quotas, and the lawyer said they are interpreting the laws differently.
