Buyout Offer From Work

Context; Been at the same company for 23 years. Salary is 207k/year. Job is deeply unsatisfying and I can feel my burn out. The offer is this: 6 month wind down (finish March 2027), keep salary until end of March 2027 and also receive a $150K buyout. House is paid off (Value $720K), retirement; SIMPLE IRA=$660K, ROTH IRA=$89K, Brokerage=$65K, savings $45K. Car is paid off (value $50K). Both kids out of house and on their own (They have trust funds from my wife's family). Am I crazy to walk away from this job? I dread coming to work each day and I feel so much anger sometimes. A big part of me is terrified of stepping away, I've known nothing else for over 20 years. EDIT: I am 52 years old. I am on my wife's insurance thru work. Wife has $775K saved for retirement. She is also 52. submitted by /u/These-Season-668 to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
