hat do I do if my employer only gives copies of a check and not a physical check?
So, I started a new job about a month ago. We get paid weekly, but the checks are in pdf form and basically through whatever system the register uses and it’s like you have to print it off and deposit it digitally. I had no issues doing it my first few weeks. But, this last paycheck it seems my bank must’ve caught on or something because I’m not forbidden from being able to deposit anymore checks digitally, like ever it seems. I told my boss I literally have NO option to deposit this “check” and I wanted a real physical check, she said she couldn’t do that and such because if she gave me a physical check she’d have to take out taxes (which she hasn’t been doing, kinda paid under the table) The thing is, I NEED that money for my rent that’s due in a few days. It was $950 that I now can’t do anything with. I’m so frustrated and my boss just told me to deposit it somewhere else and it will work but I don’t have anywhere and most places won’t accept a printed “check.” Any advice? submitted by /u/AdSpecific3089 to r/Banking [link] [comments]
