Writ of Mandamus: Approved 12 days after filing

I filed a Petition for Writ of Mandamus on my own and was approved 12 days later. I’ll start with my timeline and then add context below. 2/9/26: Renewal submission and receipt date. - 3/4/26: Biometrics completed. - 6/24/26: Congressman submitted inquiry on my behalf. - 7/24/26: I followed up with Congressman but they said they hadn’t heard back. - 7/24/26: I emailed pre-suit demand letter to USCIS, letting them know I’d file a Petition for Writ of Mandamus in 14 days if they don’t adjudicate. - 7/30/26: I called USCIS and one of their agents submitted an inquiry on my behalf for being outside of normal processing times. - 8/5/26: I sent a follow-up email to USCIS about my pre-suit demand letter. - 8/5/26: I requested congressman follow up. - 8/6/26: Congressman reached out to USCIS to follow up. - 8/11/26: Submitted a request to my Senator for help but never heard back. - 8/14/26: Filed Petition for Writ of Mandamus pro se, using the step-by-step guide linked below. - 8/21/26: Proof of Service submitted to the courts. - 8/26/26: Case Approved.
