GC Approval 🚨

I’ve always loved reading detailed approval posts, so I wanted to share mine as fully as possible in case it helps someone else who is anxiously waiting. Category: EB-2 Priority Date: June 12, 2024 Proposed Endeavor: I am still working in the same area as my proposed endeavor. Timeline: EAD: November 28, 2025 AP: July 17, 2026 GC: August 16, 2026 My derivative’s EAD and AP were also approved around the same time as mine, roughly within a week, but her green card is still pending. This has honestly been one of the most stressful phases of my life. I am naturally very anxious and tend to overthink even the smallest things. On paper, my immigration history was fairly straightforward. I came to the U.S. on F-1, went through OPT, STEM OPT, and then H-1B, while working for the same major tech company in the area related to my EB-2 proposed endeavor. Still, I found plenty of things to worry about. One was a driving case from when I was a student. I received a speeding ticket and, instead of fighting it in court, I took a plea, paid the fine, and agreed not to have another traffic violation for a year.
