Post-interview I-130 RFE (F2A AOS), response uploaded 2 weeks ago, no movement.
Timeline: • F2A AOS, petitioner spouse is a green card holder, I’m on a valid H1B • I-130 filed 08/2024 • I-485 filed 05/2025 • Combo card approved 01/2026 • Interviewed at San Antonio FO in July 2026 The interview itself was extremely straightforward. At the end the officer said everything looks good, we just need to wait for supervisor review, up to a week. A few days later we got an RFE instead. Turns out our lawyer messed up the birth certificate on the I-130 side. We uploaded the RFE response within 2 days of receiving it. It’s now been 2 weeks and no updates on either the I-485 or the I-130. One thing that’s nagging me: on interview day we waited over 2 hours past our appointment slot, then were told our assigned officer wasn’t in that day. They pulled in a substitute officer who spent some time reviewing the case before interviewing us. So who actually reviews the RFE response? The supervisor? The substitute officer who interviewed us? The originally assigned officer who never showed? I’m a bit worried the case is just sitting somewhere in the office with nobody actively looking at it. Anyone in a similar boat?
