Pending I-485/I-130: Living in AL for my final semester while wife is in Chicago — address & credit card questions
Hi everyone! Quick question about addresses while waiting on a marriage-based green card: Current status: F-1 student moving to Alabama for 3–4 months for my final semester. Spouse: US Citizen staying in Chicago for her job (our main marital home). Pending forms: I-130 and I-485 filed with our Chicago address. SEVIS vs. USCIS Address: I know I need to give SEVIS my physical Alabama address. But do I need to file AR-11 with USCIS to change my I-485 address, or can I keep Chicago as primary since it’s temporary for school? Banks/Cards: Should I keep our Chicago address on our joint bank accounts/credit cards to avoid breaking proof of joint residence? Interview: Has anyone else lived apart for just one semester for school? What proof did you bring to show it was temporary? Thanks! submitted by /u/IndustrySolid411 to r/greencard [link] [comments]
