Negative “Employer Profit Sharing Contribution” in 401k

I recently left a company and when I went to check/record my final 401k amount, noticed that there was a -$2151.70 “employer profit sharing contribution” listed on the account. It was split up into a handful of transactions for negative shares of various funds. All of these transactions are recorded two days before my final day with the company. While I almost never looked into each transaction while at the company, I’ve never heard of them doing any sort of “profit sharing.” I’ll be reaching out to Paychex and my former employer, but is there any reasonable explanation for this? submitted by /u/gmanotto12 to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
