Partner got a new job, they’re asking for a TON of my financial info

hi, yall. My partner recently got a job with a big 4 firm. I knew we’d have to disclose any investments/holdings, but I actually ended up having to share my last 3 tax returns in full. I guess because I’m self-employed they didn’t feel satisfied with those. Now they’re asking him for my car loan balance, car insurance policy statement, and my student loan statements?? I understand sharing investment information to avoid conflicts of interest, but loan balances and insurance just seem weird and excessive. Why would they want this? submitted by /u/Kitchen-Cheetah-524 to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
