How bad is the job market right now for international students? Should I stay or risk it?

How bad is the job market out there right now? I know it's generally bad, especially for international students, but howbad is it really? I got my first job right after graduating with my master's (I'm international in the US) at a small company, almost a startup, although they've been in the food industry for many years. There are only a few of us and everyone wears different hats. My role didn't even exist before, they created it for me. There's no defined structure, but honestly that's the case for other roles here too. The difference is that everyone else seems to have plenty to do all day. I'm constantly trying to find ways to keep myself busy, but I can't shake the feeling that my role isn't really contributing anything and that's so frustrating. I've tried talking to my supervisors and they just tell me I have the freedom to do whatever I want, which is kind of weird for a job. But I appreciate their trust let’s say that, it’s not like I am sitting the whole day I do have my little daily tasks is just that maybe I got use to grad school rhythms? And I feel weird not being busy 24/7? I don't know if being far from my friends is making me think I should look for another job wh…
