Traveling with a pending I751 and previously overstayed.

Hi All, what the title says, with the new memo, Im just very worried and stressed. Husband and I have an upcoming domestic trip. I am USC and husband currently have an expired GC + extension letter and his I751 is still pending. He did overstay before but had paid his taxes yearly, no arrest or anything at all!
