When Should I Buy a House?

I live in a city where the average home price is $758k. My current rent is, believe it or not, $850, including utilities. I just got a new job where I'm going to be taking home about $110k a year after taxes. Does it make sense to ever buy a house in these conditions? Or should I just invest any extra money I would have put toward a down payment? submitted by /u/Fronesis to r/personalfinance [link] [comments]
