Constantly Explaining the Process

I know it's not anyone's fault, but does anyone else ever get emotionally drained from constantly having to explain the immigration process to everyone in your life? Sometimes it feels like our families (on both sides) think we're exaggerating or even making things up when we explain why my husband can't leave the country or why the process takes so long. Most people just assume you get married, apply for a green card, and have it a few weeks later. I know they only think that because they've never had to go through it themselves, but when you're already dealing with the waiting, the endless paperwork, and that constant little fear in the back of your mind that something could go wrong, it gets exhausting having to explain it over and over again. Just my vent/rant of the day. 😂 submitted by /u/PossibilityAlive4077 to r/USCIS [link] [comments]
