Need advice on choosing a country for PhD in Banking & Finance as an international applicant

Hello everyone, I am looking for advice from people who have experience with PhD applications, especially international students. I am a 34-year-old married woman from Nepal, and I am considering pursuing a PhD in Banking and Finance. I have a Master’s degree in Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and I have been working in the banking sector for around 6 years (currently working as a Senior Assistant in a commercial bank). During my master’s, I completed my thesis on “CVP Analysis of Nepal Telecom Limited and Nepal Electricity Authority.” My professional experience in banking has increased my interest in research areas such as digital banking, financial inclusion, bank performance, and financial development in emerging economies. At this stage of my life, I want to make a thoughtful decision about where to pursue my PhD.
