Electrical Engineering Denmark

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m seriously thinking about making a big life change, and I’d really like to hear from people who live in Denmark or have already gone through something similar. I’m 28 years old, and I’ve always wanted to study Electrical Engineering. Last year I was very close to moving abroad to start university, but then I received a good job opportunity and decided to take it. At the moment I work as a Substation Commissioning Technician in an engineering team. I work on HV substations, protection and control systems, IEC 61850, Omicron testing and substation automation. I’ve now been in this field for about a year, and by the time I move I’d probably have around two years of experience. I really enjoy this job because it’s technical, practical and challenging. At the same time, I still have a strong desire to study engineering and build a stronger theoretical background, which is why I’m thinking about moving to Denmark and combining university with work. I’ve been looking at Electrical Engineering programmes around Esbjerg, Aalborg and Odense, but my biggest questions are about real life rather than the universities themselves.
