Am I eligible for an MSc in Applied Mathematics with my background?

Hi everyone, I recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics. During my bachelor's, I became interested in the mathematical side of economics and finance, so alongside my coursework I independently studied university-level mathematics, including subjects such as calculus, linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations, real analysis, and optimization I was able to apply some of that self-taught mathematics in an econometrics research paper that I completed during my bachelor's, which further motivated me to pursue mathematics more seriously. My next step is to begin a Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics, with the goal of building a formal mathematical foundation. After that, I'd like to pursue an MSc in Applied Mathematics and eventually work in mathematics research, particularly at the intersection of mathematics, statistics, econometrics, and quantitative finance and cryptography Given this background, I have a few questions: 1.Would a Bachelor's in Finance and Economics, combined with a Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics, generally make me eligible for an MSc in Applied Mathematics? 2.Do universities view substantial self-study positively if i…
