Applying for a U.S. Master's from Nepal – looking for advice

Hi everyone, I'm from Nepal and I'm planning to apply for a Master's degree in the USA, preferably in a computer or IT-related field. I'd really appreciate advice from people who have gone through the process. Is it better to apply on my own or through an education consultancy? What are the pros and cons? If you applied on your own, what resources (websites, YouTube channels, Reddit communities, etc.) helped you the most? How difficult is it to get an F-1 student visa these days? What factors improve the chances of visa approval? If you're from Nepal (or another South Asian country), what was your experience with the application and visa process? Any tips on maximizing my chances of receiving scholarships or assistantships? About me: Bachelor's in Computer Engineering (74% aggregate) Planning to pursue a Master's in a computer or IT-related field Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! submitted by /u/_learner_ghfghyj to r/InternationalStudents [link] [comments]
