what to file instead of W9? w8ben or 8233 or w4?

Hey, I'm from India on an F-1 visa, just completed my bachelor's in May 2026 and currently on Post-Completion OPT. I just got a full-time job in my field. My employer asked me to fill out a W-9, but I know that's only for US citizens/residents so I told them I can't fill that. They also said that since I'm on a 3 month probationary period, they'll pay me my full salary without withholding taxes and I'd have to pay taxes myself later. Now both me and my employer are confused. What form should I actually be filling out instead of the W-9? Any help appreciated! submitted by /u/Perfect-Nothing-7204 to r/f1visa [link] [comments]
