Deciding where to apply

Hi, I’m a current senior at Michigan State University graduating in December 2026 with a bachelor’s in environmental engineering. I have a 3.0 GPA, a 325 on my initial practice GRE (hoping for 330+ with a month or two of studying), 2 years of internship experience with the City of Ann Arbor, 6 months of NSF-funded research, and am currently with AtkinsRéalis expecting a return offer. I want to move into the policy and strategy side of energy geopolitics, like how geography and conflict shape global energy trade. Mainly I want to know: for that interest, is an MPP the right degree, or am I better off with a security studies or international affairs program? What’s reach/target/safety for my profile? And is a top GRE worth pushing for to offset the GPA? Thanks! submitted by /u/Human-Ad7397 to r/gradadmissions [link] [comments]
