PhD Funding in 2029

I know nothing is set in stone, but seeing all the funding cuts and how they've affected PhD programs has really scared me as someone hoping to apply for a PhD, and I've considered taking an extra year so I graduate in 2029 instead of 2028 in the hopes that the funding situation will be better (also more time to do research, apply to conferences, REUs, etc...). Obviously, nothing is for sure, but will the application landscape likely be better in 2029? submitted by /u/AlsoThere42 to r/gradadmissions [link] [comments]
